Fast, accurate surface defect detection—built into the grinding process.
LRI-E system is our latest technology that uses Eddy Current technology to detect surface defects. It uses our intelligent probe positioning system (IPPS) and the LRI platform. With the LRI-E system, test results are displayed in real-time and, in most cases, Eddy Current surface inspection can be done during grinding.
Our entire line of LRI systems has an improved probability of detection, shorter inspection times, increased data presentation resolutions, faster installations, easier calibrations, fewer parts, and quicker information scanning capabilities.

Our LRI software is an integrated part of the ET Tester and can display two main types of defects, spalls (e.g. cracks) and hardness and/or structural changes (e.g. pinches & bruises).

A next-gen approach to roll texturing—powerful, precise, and proven
In the field of electrical discharge machines (EDT), we have a long track record of proven experience. For over four decades, we have been developing controls and generator technology for EDT/EDM machines. Today, more than 60 EDT machines worldwide are equipped with electrical controls and generators. In the EDT process, which involves thousands of ignitions per second, the surface is roughened on rolls up to 10 tons—used, for example, for sheet metal in automobile construction or for the production of white goods. The innovative concept of our EDT machine eradicates all the known weaknesses of traditional machines.

Precision control systems for every grinding application
Our Grinding Process Control (GPC) automatic grinder controls are specially designed to be retrofitted on existing grinding machines and can be mounted on ne grinding machines. This is a modular system capable ( controlling a simple infeed of the grinding wheel to complex grinding cycles.
The GPC is capable of controlling a grinding process infeed of the servo axes and the X, U, and Z axes. The GPC is capable of controlling the C, C1, X, U, and Z axes as well as the caliper and pairs with our roll inspection systems. The GPC is a modular system capable of controlling any profile that the grinder can grind, and is only limited by the grinder's mechanical limitations, and is capable of controlling the U-axis.
