Grand Rapids, Mich., June 20, 2024 — Ascential Technologies, a provider of automated diagnostic, inspection, assembly and test systems, and services across a wide range of industries, has appointed Uwe Krueger as managing director of its Transportation division (better known as Burke Porter) in the Americas. From the lab to the assembly line to aftermarket, Burke Porter’s comprehensive, industry-leading services drive efficiency, safety, and sustainability, helping its customers shape the future of transportation.

In this role, which Krueger took on at the beginning of the year when he joined the company, Krueger oversees all operational activities related to transportation in North and South America, with an aim to create sustainable results by focusing on operational and engineering excellence as well as inspiring and engaging his team members. He has exceptional experience with innovative and advanced technologies, delivering value to customers, understanding industry trends, and navigating marketplace changes.

Prior to joining Ascential Technologies, Krueger was North American president at PIA Automation, in which he supported the company’s growth and maturation. Similarly, he previously led MAHLE-Behr as president of North America and FTE Automotive as president & CEO of North America. Formerly, he held multiple engineering management positions, spanning chief engineer to executive vice president for Behr America. Throughout his career he has gained significant leadership skills and engineering capabilities related to propulsion integration assembly and testing arenas, which align well with Burke Porter’s offerings.

Krueger holds a Doctorate in Engineering Science and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University in Germany.
