DATAMES – eddy current technology (ET tester)

Eddy Current-based surface defect detection system for industrial rolls, capable of identifying cracks, bruises, and structural changes.

The system can display unique indications for cracks up to 3 mm deep. Any cracks with depths beyond 3 mm are detected, but without unique indication. Cracks running in any direction will be detected. Detects pinches and bruises (hardness and structural changes). The system can display unique indications for cracks up to 3 mm deep. DATAMES – Eddy Current Technology (ET Tester)

Overview

The ET Tester (based on Eddy Current Technology) can detect surface defects, providing an advantage over visual inspection. LISMAR’s ET Tester works with the Probe Positioning System (PPS) and the LISMAR DATAMES platform. The DATAMES platform is an integrated part of the ET Tester and can display two main types of defects, spalls (cracks) and hardness and/or structural changes (pinches & bruises).

The ET Tester, driven by an Eddy Current Technology, inspects surface breaking cracks as well as pinches and bruises.

Key Features

The system can display unique indications for cracks up to 3 mm deep.
Any cracks with depths beyond 3 mm are detected, but without unique indication.
Cracks running in any direction will be detected.
Detects pinches and bruises (hardness and structural changes).
